"You are not separate from nature: we are all part of One Life that manifests in
countless ways throughout the universe, forms that are completely interconnected."
From the book "Stillness Speaks" by Eckhart Tolle.
Everywhere we turn in the great outdoors we see nature. Birds, trees, plants, animals
surround us throughout each day, though what we so often fail to see is the divine
beauty that lies within it all. We see a bird, tree, plant or animal and say, "that
is beautiful," but what we cannot see with our eyes is where the true beauty lies.
There is a holiness that lies within all of nature that cannot be seen with
our eyes.
All of the great spiritual teachers express the fact that we are all one with all of
creation. All of our Inner Beings are essentially One Being interconnected with all
that is. Many of the great teachers point to nature to teach us this lesson. Why?
Because communing with the sacredness of nature gives rise to the same sacredness
that lies within each one of us. The Inner Being of nature vibrates in perfect
harmony with all of life and when we commune with nature our Inner Beings pick up
on this harmonious vibration. When we pick up on this harmony our awareness raises
and we become subtlely aware of some deeper meaning to life, something we can sense
and feel deep within ourselves.
Taking another quote from the book "Stillness Speaks", which has a beautiful chapter
on nature, the author Eckhart Tolle states:
"Bring awareness to the subtle sounds of nature, the rustling of tree in the wind,
raindrops falling, the humming of an insect, the first birdsong at dawn. Give
yourself completely to the act of listening. Beyond the sounds there is something
greater: a sacredness that can not be understood by thought."
In his books the great author points again and again to a greater dimension of
life that exists all around us and deep within us at every moment, which only the
constant activity in our minds keeps us from knowing. Knowing this sacredness is a
deep sense of inner peace that cannot be defined by our minds. We may define it as
our natural state of being, but then our minds would ask, "and what is our natural
state of being?" And once again it is something that cannot be known with our minds,
it is something that can only be sensed and felt when our minds are quiet and still.
Nature will lead us to this sense and feeling if we are able to bring a high level
of awareness to it. If we can look at nature and listen to it with our full
attention, free from the constant activity in our minds, then this sense and
feeling will rise naturally. The key is simply Being Aware of the present moment
in which it happens.
The intention of Healing Through Nature films is to get you to bring your awareness
to the peaceful sights and sounds of nature, and rest your awareness there without
distractions from your mind. If you can do this, the sacredness of what we see and
hear just may reveal itself.
Healing Trough Nature films point again and again to quieting our minds in order to
give rise to the recognition of the divine essence that lies within all of nature and
to connect with the same divine essence that lies within each of us. The great
teachers all point to quieting our minds in order to align with our natural state
of being. And the greatest teacher of all just may be nature itself.
"Spending time with nature enables you to sense the harmonious interaction of all
the elements and forces of life, and gives a sense of unity with all of life."
From the book "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" by Deepak Chopra.
